Korea and Cambodia agree to establish
a digital government cooperation center in Phnom Penh

On July 8 (KST), the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Kingdom of Cambodia’s Ministry of Post and Telecommunications signed an MOU for the establishment of the KoreaCambodia Digital Government Cooperation Center.

Following up on the agreement to expand cooperation in digital government development efforts at the 2019 ASEANRepublic of Korea Commemorative Summit, the Korean and Cambodian governments jointly developed the Cambodian Digital Government Masterplan in 2020.

The KoreaCambodia Digital Government Cooperation Center will operate in Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital, from 2021 to 2023 as stipulated in the MOU to support digital government development efforts based on the Masterplan.
